Oslo Day 2

17/9/2010
Today we had a sleep in which was nice. We got up and had breakfast and then Aunty Merethe drove us in to the city and dropped us off. First we went to a famous park where all the sculptures are of naked people- I laughed a lot! My favourite one is of a small boy who is not very happy. Then we went to a playground and I had fun climbing on all the equipment.

After this we walked to see the Royal Palace and we saw the King be driven into the palace in his car- he had a police escort and the Royal guards marched up and down.

After seeing the King we walked to see a castle overlooking the Oslo Harbour. It is really old and you get a good view of Oslo from up there.

Then we had an icecream down along the water front and visited some shops. We saw a restuarant called Olivia- it is a pizza and pasta restuarant, my favourite food!!

Then we hopped on a bus back to Per and Merethe's house. When we got back daddy and I went to the park and played soccer- I beat him again! For dinner we had salmon, potato, pasta and salad. It was yummy. After dinner my daddy's cousin Atle's daughter named Maia (she is 10) came to visit and have a sleep over. She has been excited to meet me as she has never met anyone from Australia! She does not speak much English so I am going to teach her and she is going to teach me some Norweigan!

Our aeroplane to Oslo
Today we woke up early to go to the airport. It took 2 hours to fly to Oslo. Daddy's Uncle Per picked us up at the airport and he took us to his house and I met daddy's Aunty Merethe. Their house is pretty with a cool park across the street.

Once we put our bags down and said hello we had afternoon tea (which was ice cream and apply pie!) and then we went for a walk. We stopped at the local primary school and played in their playground. Along the way I collected lots of pretty flowers. After the school walked down to the Fjord to have a look.

On the way we found an apple tree and I ate one fresh off the tree- it was yummy! That night we had a chicken stir fry for dinner and after dinner we watched some of the movie Mamma Mia - it was fun singing along with the songs! I then went to bed in my own room in a comfy bed and slept almost 12 hours!

Day 5

15-9-2010
ARSENAL WON 6-0!!!!!! Well this is what happened at the end of the day, but I thought this was the most exciting thing to report!

The train station we got on every day

The day started out with another underground train trip, this time to Lords Cricket ground and then to the famous crossing at Abbey Road (this is where the band The Beatles took a photo for their last album cover). Then we saw where my dad went to school when he was 10 until 12 years of age- The American School in London at St.Johns Wood.

We then hopped on another train to Canary Wharf where we had lunch. Next we went to Greenwich Observatory where I stood on the Greenwich Meridian Line. On the way back to our hotel we stopped off at Harrod's Department Store. We didnt buy anything but it was still fun!

Having a rest with mummy!

We stayed at our hotel for a small rest and then got back on the underground train to Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal play Braga. In England they call soccer "football". My mum and dad were so excited, especially my mum as she has wanted to see Arsenal play since she was a kid. I had a lot of fun, it was very noisy but I was getting sleepy near the end and fell asleep on the train home.

Me and mummy on the Tower Bridge
Today we went to the city again and saw the Tower of London and the Tower Bridge. We saw lots of birds. After this we went to Madam Tussauds Wax Museum. In this museum there are status that look real. My favourite one was Kylie Minogue. At the end there were pretend taxis that took us on a ride through the history of London. The we went back to the hotel and we had Indian for dinner at a restuarant nearby. It was another fun day!

Day 1 + 2

11.9.2010 + 12.9.2010
I was excited about the plane trip. After I packed Polly, Angela drove my mummy, daddy and I to the airport. The first flight took 9 hours to Bangkok. At Bangkok we stayed in the plane for 2 hours and then we went to Dubai which took 6 hours. It was very hot in Dubai. Then we went on another plane to London and this took 7 hours. When we got to London we went to our hotel and put our bags down and then took the London underground train to Hamley's Toy Store. Hamley's is a seven storey toy store, one of the biggest in the world! I had so much fun even though I was very very tired! My mummy and daddy bought me a pink teddy bear and I named her Rose. She is very cute. We had McDonalds for dinner, but I was so tired that I only had one bight of my burger. We then went back to our hotel and I fell asleep at 6pm after having a bath. It was a very long day but I had fun!
